"If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above,
where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God."
Colossians 3:1-2
Many say it takes 21 days to make a habit. 21 Days to fight against the friction of giving up or giving in. In 2020 we experienced many disruptions and tragic heartaches. 2021 invites us to reflect back, look forward and make changes.
For 21 days the Lake Mead community will intentionally prepare our hearts and minds for God to do His greatest in and through us in 2021.
It will take work. Not work as some cheap substitution of grace, but work that depends on grace. This isn’t about gaining God’s approval but delighting in His affection.
Lake Mead, together we will set our affections on things above, we will seek first the kingdom of God, we will love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, we will love our neighbor as our selves.
We will be Salt and Light.
We will be led by the Spirit.
We will live the Way of Jesus.
